Ever wanted to make that keyboard only game have joystick support ? With joy2kbd you can. Requirements:- joy2kbd has only been tested on my Amithlon/WinUAE system with CatWeasel Mk3, but in theory should run on a 68020 or greater. Also the lowlevel library is required which is a part of "CD32 OS", "OS3.1+" and a 3rd party version is available from here:- http://aminet.net/package/driver/input/NewLowLevel CLI usage:- Simply type "joy2kbd" to use the default configuration "PROGDIR:joy2kbd.cfg" or specify your own. Then run your game. Press Ctrl-C to quit joy2kbd. Alternatively:- Click on the supplied "joy2kbd_script" from the WorkBench. Editing a configuration:- You will need a Raw Key Code Utility. The 2nd Joystick entry was tested as a copy of the 1st on Mame with no Joystick support on the game frogger on "WinUAE 0.9.92". v1.1 has been tested and significantly improved on Amithlon with the following game:- http://aminet.net/package/game/jump/OpenJazz_68k Each joystick port has only been tested individually so far. No testing for 2 Joysticks simultaneously has been done at this stage. Suggestions of test material are welcome. Tip:- If your game uses a startup script putting a "run >nil: " without the quotes just before the main executable is recommended if possible for best results, if its not already there.
