The program was an old one I used to play on my TRS-80 back in the early
'80's and after I had a look at it I thought it'd lend itself to a Metro
door quite well. With the addition of a high score table so BBS users
could all compete it wouldn't turn out so bad at all. Anyway, I'm glad
I persisted, 'cos it's certainly a worthy inclusion on your doors menu.
Actually, it's amazing how much of the original TRS-80 code is
reproduced in this door. So many years apart, these machines, but not
all that different when it comes to BASIC. (Although the thought of
Porting AmigaBASIC code to the TRS80 doesn't sound like a picnic!)
About the game itself: it gets you in, actually, as it's very hard to
catch the horse, but not so much that it's impossible. I must say it
was difficult to test the high scores routine. Had to sit down and
actually play the thing to get into the high score table to see if it
would work!
