*** Fix & Extension for SViewIV ***
*** also applies to ImageEngineer, PMPro, et. al. ***
This is a fix & extension for SViewIV V9.30, which
solves the following issues:
- enforcer hits caused by "About" window under
MorphOS and maybe OS4 (bugfix applied in
autogenerated code)
=> patched SViewIV binary V9.31
- SView5 and SViewIV cannot be used together
under MorphOS (and maybe OS 4) which also
affects PMPro and its PPC modules as well
as ImageEngineer. (***)
=> put SVInit to s:user-startup
- SView-Library (thus SViewIV et. al.) loader
modules may still contain various bugs not fixed
so far. Workaround: use SView5 loaders (not savers)
also from within SuperView-Library. (*) (**)
=> install SView5.svobject
- Long loading times.
=> install updated superview/support.library
with increased priority
- missing GIF.svobject (V9.32 update)
Also includes the former V9.30 fix (locale folder
with spanish translations for SViewIV).
(*) original SV 68k/PPC loaders will only be used
for saving then, or for device operations
(print, scan, etc.) - operators and display
drivers are not affected in any way.
(**) these two libraries are not compatible, so
this is not different from e.g. using Datatypes
from within SuperView-Library; just here
another library is used instead... no
additional benefits; file type information
gets lost.
(***) Looks like a bug in MorphOS Exec or JIT - but
I really do not want to waste time with
debugging this any further. If SView5 is
loaded first both work - otherwise SView5
works only until SViewIV is loaded. Obviously
something is trashed badly, but silently.
I have tested this with and without SViewIV
PPC modules.
WARNING: NO WARRANTY/RELIABILITY FOR ANYTHING IS
GIVEN/TAKEN. IF IT DOES NOT WORK, PLEASE
DO NOT COMPLAIN BUT UNINSTALL AGAIN.
PLEASE MAKE BACKUPS PRIOR INSTALLATION.

Installation Instructions:
What to install:
1. First install SvIV-1.lha to SvIV-8.lha (V9.30)
2. Then install included SvIV and SV-Lib fixes.
3. Optionally install SVInit (SV-Lib folder).
How to install:
1. Copy the included SViewIV binary (68000 or 030)
into your installed SViewIV directory as SViewIV,
also the updated spanish locales if wanted.
2. Update superview/support.library in your libs:
folder with the included one (either 68030
or normal version).
3. Copy the included SView5.svobject into your
libs:svobjects/ directory. (Skip this step
if you do not want SuperView-Library to
utilize SView5-Library loader modules.)
4. Copy the included SVInit tool to C: and
add it to your s:user-startup as follows:
SVInit >NIL: <NIL:
Under MorphOS this slows down boot time by
max. 10s. Alternatively you can put this tool
into a batch file which is used to start
SViewIV, ImageEngineer or PMPro. In any case
do not start them without calling SVInit first,
because then superview.library and sview5.library
will not co-exist properly.
Note: SView5.svobject needs at least sview5.library
V14 and superview.library V25.
