I bet some of You have been disappointed after 0.1a version has
been released. Well, I hope You will be satisfied with this
version.
Yet it can't do too much, however I did my best to change the
worst thing in our OS look imo.. And this time it does not only
mean screen bar.
I know there have been some patches written which make exactly
what spiral does now... well, although it is not so flexible and
configurable [only one parameter so far ;)], it can do one thing
no other patch can. It fills menus with nice patterns [actually
same as titlebar, but this may of course change in future]..
TROUBLES..?
I don't know if it works properly with all the other patches,
however, here is actually only one tip: launch Spiral *BEFORE*
birdie! Birdie patches some functions with possibly buggy code
[atleast I can't draw lines over the bar layer if I launch birdie
before spiral - it simply trashes my screen, I don't know why,
yet]. I've checked Spiral on my configuration [A1k2, 040/40, 32M,
patches: BlazeWCP, CMQ060, FastBlit, MCP1.33] and encountered no
problems so far. Should You have any please, let me know. My
address can be found at the top and bottom of this text
Spiral will recall its presence every 2h or so, it's not very
often, since it is a patch which was made to make Your system
look better rather than bugging Your head. I hope noone will try
to crack it, or else...
FUTURE
I am afraid I have to say that not really entire menu system has
been introduced. There are some lacks which shall be filled,
soon, like mutually exclusive or "checkable" items.. I know this
is a really big misfeature, but... ok, there's nothing I can say
for myself :)
moreover I think I've found some great way to parse screenbar. It
looks like soon I shall be able to put, ehm, anims over the
screenbar [starting with self-calculated ones, like fire]. it
will be really easy, I think, but..:
SPIRAL's FUTURE IS IN YOUR HANDS!
For those who feel like this project is really cool, I would be
really gratefull to get some feedback from You, and since I am a
terrible melomaniac, it would be great to get some music of any
kind in any format [starting with chip modules and ending with
mp3s/cdda]. I suppose it's not really expen$ive to burn one cd or
floppy and send it [if it's cheap in Poland, it must be cheap
everywhere else hehehe ;)]. If You feel like sending me something
- here's my address:

I've got only one response so far (greetings to Jurgen Jaschka),
and I don't feel like developing the project if noone is
interested in it. Sorry...
