If you have a boot piccy installed on your hard disc you know the
problem: When IPrefs starts up, the screen jumps a bit up and to the left,
depending on your overscan settings. Most people say there's no clean
workaround ...
No problem, as Kick >=2.0 still uses the file DEVS:system-configuration,
that contains overscan information (even when Kick <=1.3 couldn't use it).
This file is parsed as soon as the Amiga boots and the settings are active
before the boot pic is loaded.
FixPrefs 1.1 solves the quirk problem by writing the 2.0 settings to this
1.3 system-configuration - with a 304 bytes executable! Amiga makes it
possible.
