Short: Global trashcan for WB, eject support Author: thomas.richter@alumni.tu-berlin.de (Thomas Richter) Uploader: thomas richter alumni tu-berlin de (Thomas Richter) Type: util/wb Version: 1.77 Requires: OS 2.04 or better, 3.9 recommended Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 2.0.4 _____________________________________________________________________________ BenchTrash is a MAC-like implementation of a global workbench trashcan. Ejection of dropped devices is supported, but requires an additional program (e.g. "Park", included in this distribution). BenchTrash is very compact and written in 100% assembly language, plus it's 100% free. New in version 1.75: Release 1.73 was the last official release, back then copyrighted by Amiga and included in Os 3.9. By contract, copyright returned to me after two years, hence this version is again a freeware release distributed under my original licence. As far as the features are concerned, nothing changed. This release only fixes a bug for drawing the trashcan icon which did not set the condition codes correctly when returning from the image drawer of intuition. New in version 1.76: The reaction-based user interface did not honor the CENTER tooltype/command line argument due to an oversight. This release fixes this glitch. Otherwise, nothing else changed. New in version 1.76.1: This version only fixed the installer script that tried to pick the NewIcons from the wrong position. It now refers to the "Icons" directory as it should. New in version 1.76.2: This release only re-packages the 1.76.1 version, hopefully correctly this time. New in version 1.76.3: This release only re-packages the 1.76.2 version, hopefully correctly this time. New in release 1.77: The %N pattern of the EJECT tooltype expands now to the volume name in case the icon matches a handler that does not run on a physical device. This allows BenchTrash to shut down handlers such as those implemented by Lha. _____________________________________________________________________________ Thomas, July 2026
