This release 3.5.3 Beta is built from the GPL source code release of Voyager 3.4 made by original Voyager developer David "Zapek" Gerber, with refactoring to fix bugs, fix the build, replace missing files and make Voyager functional again in 2026 by amigazen project. New in Voyager V3 3.5: - HTTPS connections load using either AmiSSL (if installed) or AmiTLS (included in this release package). - Printing functionality has been completed: Print dialog, menu, toolbar, and ARexx Print ASK; text to PRT:; graphical printer.device bands; TurboPrint when Turboprint: is assigned. - UTF-8 HTML, from the MIME charset or a META tag, is mapped onto the OS3 Latin-1 charmap, including named and numeric entities that fit Latin-1. - The default User-Agent is Firefox 4.0.1 on Windows 7. Some CDNs answer 403 when a Firefox-shaped agent also contains an Amiga token. The Spoof menu can still identify as Voyager. - No vapor_toolkit.library and no keyfile required. All functionality is now unlocked. - PNG alpha masks no longer crash the blit. - Wide tables finish layout instead of hanging or corrupting the page. The per-version history for the limited 3.4/3.3 line and for Voyager 3.2 and older (3.0.0 through 3.2) is in CHANGELOG.md in the source tree (including the CVS build-log appendix): https://github.com/amigazen/Voyager/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md Original VaporWare URLs (v3.vapor.com, bugs.vapor.com, mailing lists) no longer apply. Historical notes can be found at Zapek's website: https://zapek.com/software/voyager/ The original authors are not affiliated with amigazen project. A brief history of Voyager ========================== Oliver Wagner started Voyager in 1995. David Gerber co-developed it with him. The last boxed commercial product was Voyager 3.2 (16.4.2000). A limited 3.3 alpha / public-beta line followed (from August 2000): new layout engine and window framework, vertical nav panel, optional TearOff, CManager aliases in the URL gadget, ftp. auto-prefix, HTML on HTTP 4xx/5xx, AS225 removed. Public betas 3.3.65 and 3.3.75; 3.3.126 (27.12.2002) for 68k and MorphOS, followed with alpha releases. A short 3.4 CVS series followed. Source to a 3.4 release was later published under the GNU GPL by David Gerber, but did not build as-is. This 3.5 release is derived from that code refactored into a buildable, runnable, tested release. Requirements: MUI 3.8 (or a compatible implementation such as mushin). A TCP/IP stack (bsdsocket.library). HTTPS uses AmiSSL when amisslmaster.library can open AmiSSL 5.27, or the included amitls.library otherwise. cybergraphics.library is used when present. Tear-off panels are disabled in 3.5 due to Enforcer hits. This release does not need vapor_toolkit.library or a keyfile, all functionality is now unlocked. https://github.com/amigazen/Voyager http://www.amigazen.com/voyager/ aweb@amigazen.com Support & Bug reporting ======================= For 3.5.3, use GitHub.
