Short: AGA space combat game, demo version Author: kontakt@fliegeralarm.net (Frank Rübsamen) Uploader: kontakt fliegeralarm net (Frank Rübsamen) Type: game/demo Version: 0.90 Requires: A1200 AGA, 2 MB Chip + 4 MB Fast RAM, hard disk Architecture: m68k-amigaos Distribution: Freely distributable Kurz: AGA-Weltraumspiel, Demoversion Battle of Aldebaran is a first person space combat game written for the Amiga 1200. Everything is drawn by the machine itself: no RTG, no accelerator, 256 colours out of AGA on a plain 68020. A Fast RAM expansion is needed, but it does not have to be a CPU card. You fly for the Nordics against the Anunnaki. The demo runs six waves, from single fighters through escorted gunships to the enemy flagship, across three planets, with animated cutscenes between them. Features - Solid shaded ships rendered from every angle, with mounted cannons that only glow while they fire - Full screen animated cutscenes played from disk - Music and sound effects driven straight through Paula - Mouse or joystick, with every key rebindable from the menu - Local highscore table Requirements Amiga 1200 with AGA, 2 MB Chip and 4 MB Fast RAM, and a hard disk. With less Fast RAM the game still runs, but drops the intro film and the launch sequence rather than failing. Installing Unpack anywhere on your hard disk, for example lha x BattleOfAldebaran.lha Work: then double click the game icon. The data is found through PROGDIR:, so it does not matter where you start it from. This is a demo. Feedback is welcome and is what decides whether the full version gets built.
