Short: Turrican-style jump and shoot, MiniGL Author: Poke53280 (Eiswuxe), Amiga port by Serkan DURSUN Uploader: blasterreal gmail com (Serkan DURSUN) Type: game/shoot Version: 1.0 Requires: 68040/68060 with FPU, RTG, minigl.library 29.1, AHI Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.0.0 Hurrican is a freeware jump and shoot game by Poke53280 (Eiswuxe), made in the spirit of Manfred Trenz's Turrican. Blast your way through nine levels full of enemies and power-ups; seven user level packs are included. This is a native AmigaOS 3.x 68k port of the community version from https://github.com/HurricanGame/Hurrican, drawn with OpenGL through minigl.library. REQUIREMENTS ------------ - AmigaOS 3.x, 68040 or 68060 with FPU, plenty of fast RAM - An RTG board (Picasso96 or CyberGraphX) with a 16- or 32-bit mode in 640x480; for 32-bit only BGRA32 modes should be enabled - minigl.library 29.1 in LIBS: (not included), for example: * PiStorm (Raspberry Pi 4 / CM4) with Emu68: PiStorm3D 29.1 * WinUAE: QuarkTex NG 1.0 beta 2 or newer The program is built with the minigl.library 29.1 SDK. An older library (29.0 or the V27 betas) refuses it and the game stops without a message after "SDL initialized" in Game_Log.txt. - AHI for sound INSTALLATION ------------ Unpack the archive anywhere and start Hurrican from its icon or from the Shell. Settings, high scores and Game_Log.txt are kept in the program's drawer (PROGDIR:). F8 saves a screenshot as PNG in the screenshots drawer next to the program (PROGDIR:screenshots/Hurrican001.png, Hurrican002.png, ...). Command line options (Hurrican --help lists all of them): -W run in a window on Workbench instead of a screen of its own -D 16 16-bit screen (default 32; -D 24 opens the same 32-bit mode) -L 320x240 -TF 2 halve the texture size, for boards with little memory -F show the frame rate SOURCE ------ https://github.com/Sdursun/Hurrican_Minigl The Amiga build (GCC 16 cross compiler, SDL 1.2 with the minigl.library backend, SDL_image, SDL_mixer and libmodplug) is described in Hurrican/amiga/README.md there; Hurrican/amiga/build-deps.sh fetches and builds every library this program is linked with, including the patches applied to them.
