AmILC Mailing list #1 - 25 May - 31st may 1997

These are the first artcles posted to the AmILC mailing list. Each article
is seperated with the '(-*-)' line, which makes it easier to use a SEARCH
to skip through emails.

AmILC is a cool online application for Amiga users, in which you can add your
friends to a list, and you will be notified when they come online and have
the software running. But thats not all, you can do loads of other cool
things with it, for example:

  * Each user gets a FREE pager which is accessed via a WWW and can be used
    on any machine, not just an Amiga! Messages sent to your pager are
    immediately sent to you as soon as you go online next, or as soon as
    they get processed if you are already online!!!

  * Messaging system, where you can send a quick scribble to a friend on
    another copy of the program, wether they are online or not. As soon as
    they go online, there messages will be downloaded and they will be able
    to read them.

  * Live chat windows with friends or groups. If a few of you want to have
    a chat, you can join a "Conference" and babble to your hearts content!
    This is handy, as you wont have to load lots of external programs and
    waste all that memory!!

  * Ability to have your friends pop up with Photo ID's instead of just a
    simple piece of text. Pictures are downloaded and stored on your drive
    to save bandwidth, so you can get access to pics as soon as possible.

  * Fully customizable options for all Amiga browser support via AREXX so
    no matter which browser you use, should you need to call one up, it
    will be supported.

The options are growing all the time. There is also an *AmILC Mailing List*
in which you can join right now, and submit all your comments, questions
and queries that you may have about the program. Im going to be needing
lots of Betatesters very soon to start looking at the first releases of the
program.

full information on all the different commands you can use within the
mailing list.
