Short: Boot screen screenshots and dark mode Author: hakke@gmx.de (Andreas Winkler) Uploader: hakke gmx de (Andreas Winkler) Type: util/boot Version: 1.0 Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.0.0 Distribution: Aminet Kurz: Screenshots vom Bootmenue und Dark Mode PSBShot ======= Takes screenshots of the screens that appear before AmigaOS has loaded: Kickstart's Early Startup Menu, the PiStormBoot menu, or any other native (non-RTG) screen. It also gives these screens, and the Workbench after them, a dark color palette. - Ctrl + Alt + P takes a picture of the front screen - Ctrl + Alt + D switches dark mode on and off At boot time there is no file system yet, so the pictures are kept in memory. Later, in the Shell, the same file saves them as IFF ILBM: PSBShot TO DF0: Pictures survive a warm reset. A small Python script for a PC turns the IFF files into PNG. PSBShot works on any Amiga with Kickstart 3.0 or later. Together with PiStormBoot (also on Aminet) dark mode can be switched on for every boot from PiStormBoot's menu. Installation ------------ Copy "PSBShot" to DEVS: and add it to the LoadModule line at the top of S:Startup-Sequence: C:LoadModule DEVS:PSBShot or, together with PiStormBoot: C:LoadModule DEVS:PSBShot DEVS:PiStormBoot Everything else is in PSBShot.guide.
