Short: Emu68 setup menu at boot for PiStorm Author: hakke@gmx.de (Andreas Winkler) Uploader: hakke gmx de (Andreas Winkler) Type: util/boot Version: 1.0 Requires: Emu68 on a PiStorm or PiStorm32-lite Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.0.0 Distribution: Aminet Kurz: Emu68 Setup-Menue beim Booten (PiStorm) PiStormBoot =========== A setup menu for PiStorm and PiStorm32-lite accelerators running Emu68. It is available while the Amiga starts, before AmigaOS loads anything from disk: hold the right mouse button during boot. - Emu68 JIT settings, applied at once and again at every boot - almost all Emu68 options from cmdline.txt as gadgets - Raspberry Pi settings from config.txt: Kickstart ROM, FPGA firmware, Emu68 kernel, ARM clock, HDMI mode and more - a FAST RAM limit, text editors and backup slots for both files - system information: Emu68 version, clocks, temperature - a button for Kickstart's own Early Startup Menu - hotkeys for everything, so it works without a mouse - adapts to Emu68 0.x, 1.0 and 1.1 Tested on an A1200 with a PiStorm32-lite and a Raspberry Pi 4. The classic PiStorm (Pi 3) is supported but not tested yet. Needs Kickstart 3.0 or later; developed on Kickstart 3.2.3. Installation ------------ Copy "PiStormBoot" to DEVS: and add this line at the very top of S:Startup-Sequence: C:LoadModule DEVS:PiStormBoot Then reboot with the right mouse button held. Holding the left mouse button at boot skips PiStormBoot completely. To save changes, Emu68's card driver must be allowed to write to the SD card, and the backup page needs its slot files on the card. Both are explained in PiStormBoot.guide, together with everything else. PSBShot, a separate archive on Aminet, adds screenshots of the menu and a dark mode. Disclaimer ---------- This software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. You use it entirely at your own risk. The author cannot be held responsible for any loss of data or damage to software or hardware. PiStormBoot writes to the boot partition of the Raspberry Pi's SD card and changes settings of Emu68 and the Raspberry Pi firmware, including CPU clock and voltage. Wrong settings can stop the Pi from booting, and overclocking or over-voltage can damage hardware. Keep backup copies of config.txt and cmdline.txt on another computer. PiStormBoot is by Andreas Winkler, 2026, and is freeware. It may be copied and distributed freely as long as the archive stays complete and unchanged and no money is charged for it beyond the cost of the medium. Emu68 is by Michal Schulz. Thanks to the Emu68 and PiStorm developers. History ------- 1.0 (4.10.2026) First public release.
