Short: CPU benchmarks for Amiga compilers Author: Bernie Innocenti Uploader: Bernie Innocenti Type: util/moni Version: 1.5 Requires: 5 MB of free RAM, 64 KiB stack, 68040 and FPU for benchwork-040 Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 2.0.4 Distribution: Aminet Kurz: CPU-Benchmarks fuer Amiga-Compiler Benchwork is a set of CPU benchmarks for comparing m68k compilers, built from code that Amiga programs actually run: LHa, zlib, libpng, the FreeType rasterizer, Dhrystone, a dithered landscape renderer, a triangle setup loop from a Wipeout port, the vertex projection and polygon clipper of an NFS3 port, and memcpy/memmove patterns. Everything works on memory buffers, so the timed region contains only compiler-generated code: no disk, display or OS calls. License ------- The harness is 0BSD. The vendored code keeps its own licenses, listed in third_party/LICENSE.md with each license text beside it: zlib, libpng, FreeType (FTL), LHa for UNIX, Dhrystone, the NFS3 kernels (0BSD), and glyphs derived from DejaVu Sans. The Wipeout kernel is included with its author's permission. The LHa terms forbid distributing the binaries without their source, which is at the link above.
